Transport
The Symposium participants will
need no bus service on April 1st and 2nd as
both the paper/poster presentations and the
plenaries will be held within walking distance.
On
Saturday 3rd , there will be a bus service between
ESSARP and Universidad de San Andres, where
the plenaries will be held.
Transport from the Airport
Car Service:
TRANSPORT FROM THE AIRPORT
TO YOUR HOTEL IN BUENOS AIRES: The "Ministro
Pistarini" International Airport is situated
in Ezeiza, 25 km away from the centre of Buenos
Aires.
Should you want a car to meet you at at EZEIZA,
please send an email addressed to: transferpol@ciudad.com.ar
requesting this service.
Please include the following information:
- Your Name and Surname
- Flight number
- Time of arrival
- Point of departure
- HoteL:
If you order a car, the fare from EZEIZA airport
to the Hotel will be U$S 17(or pesos argentinos
$ 50). Should your plane be delayed and the
car have to wait, there will be a surcharge
of U$S 3 (or pesos argentinos $ 9) per hour.
The driver will meet you in the main hall just
outside the Customs' baggage check. He will
be holding up a sign with the ESSARP logo and
your name and surname.
Should you wish to take a car (or bus) at the
airport, we recommend that you do so at any
of the official counters that are situated in
the main hall just outside the Customs' baggage
check. You should pay at the counter and receive
an official receipt.
Important: We strongly advise AGAINST
your taking any car or taxi touted by individuals.

Information
for participants

If you come from abroad, you will need a valid
passport and a visa (check with your diplomatic
authorities). Passengers from non-bordering
nations do not pay taxes on personal effects
and new products for under U$S 300. No international
vaccination certificate is needed unless you
come from a country where cholera and yellow
fever are endemic diseases.

April 5th is a National Holiday; April 8th
is Holy Thursday and April 9th is Holy Friday.
Banks or Bureau de Change do not operate these
days.

As in any big city, you should be cautious
when walking around the city, particularly
in areas frequented by tourists. Leave your
passport and valuables in the safe at the
hotel, and only carry whatever cash and credit
cards you are intending to use that day.

If you need to buy local currency, you can
do so from any of a number of Bureau de Change
that can be found in the city.

If you require a taxi phone for a radio taxi
(your hotel can do this for you).
- If
you need to make international phone calls,
use any of the telephone shops (locutorios)
in the area. Phone calls made from your hotel
room are usually charged at a much higher
rate.
- There
are many good restaurants in the area of our
hotel and the ESSARP Centre.
