Diane Palmer obtained a BA Hons degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University. Her first job was as Economics Research Officer for the Engineering Employers' Federation. After a year she decided that a desk based job was not for her and found her real passion - teaching.

Dr. Douglas Reeves, U.S.

Dr Douglas Reeves, author of the best-selling book Making Standards Work, is the chairman and founder for the Center for Performance Assessment, an international organization dedicated to improving student achievement and educational equity. Beyond his work in large-scale assessment and research, Dr. Reeves has devoted many years to classroom teaching with students ranging from elementary school to doctoral candidates.

Dr. Frank Steele, Ireland

Frank holds a BA and MA from the National University of Ireland and a doctorate from the University of Oxford. He has been involved in education for most of his life. He was trained as a teacher by the Christian Brothers and served in their schools in Ireland and, from 1964 to 1968, in Cardinal Newman College (Buenos Aires).

Dr. Paula Tallal, U.S.

Paula Tallal, Ph.D. received her B.A. from New York University in 1969 and her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Cambridge University, England in 1973. She completed additional research training as a post-doctoral fellow at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she subsequently was appointed to the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Psychology, Neurology and Pediatrics
