Dr. Sabelli received a Ph.D. in Theoretical Organic Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, for research performed at the University of Chicago. She was Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and a researcher at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
