Dave Clarke
Born and educated in Barbados he is presently employed as the Regional Director (Americas) of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Association. He was employed in 1988 as the Caribbean Consultant of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Association, became an International Field officer in 1992 before being appointed to his present position in 2000. David is a bronze, silver and gold award holder of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and a former venturer and staff member of Operation Raleigh. He has served as chairman of the advisory board to the Minister of Education, Youth and Culture in Barbados from 1994 to 2000. He was appointed a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian by her Majesty the Queen on the 14th October 2003.

The International Award is an exciting selfdevelopment Programme available to all young people worldwide equipping them with life skills to make a difference to themselves, their communities and the world. To date, over 6 million young people from over 120 countries have been motivated to undertake a variety of voluntary and challenging activities which encourage:
- personal discovery andgrowth; - life skills; - perseverance; - responsibility; and - service to the community.
