Griselda Beacon
Griselda Beacon holds an MA in Anglo-American Literature from Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany. A graduate EFL teacher, she is particularly fond of delivering teacher training workshops on how to use literature in the classroom. At present she teaches Children's Literature at Teacher Training College IES en Lenguas Vivas "Juan Ramón Fernández".
Kindergarten and early Primary teachers.
Think, plan and practice a variety of classroom activities to work with literature in the classroom:
• Verbal and non-verbal responses to a literary text. • Illustrations. • Linguistic and literary devices found in short stories.
We are going to read and work with the following stories:
• Little Blue and Little Yellow by Leo Leoni. • We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. • More Pants by Giles Andreae Illustrator Nick Sharratt. * We will include other literary texts if time allows.
